Happy Friday!
I have been busy making my first order of cards! I am so grateful to Laurie Beltran of Modern Woodmen for trusting me to make cards for her business! I love creating and this was a tall order...an assortment of 24 cards. I had a lot of fun coming up with different designs. I will post pictures as soon as I deliver the cards to Laurie. I want to make sure she is happy with her purchase.

Remember that I can also create scrapbook layouts, mini-albums and tags. I have been working on a questionnaire to handout to my customers so that I can make exactly what you want or need. Turnaround time depends of the size and quantity of the project. Prices will range depending on level of complexity of the project. I am working on a price list so that you can see what your money will get you. Tags range between $2 - $5; cards can be anywhere from $2 - $10. Scrapbook layouts will be $5 per page. Mini-albums will start at $30 for a 6x8 size. I know that is pretty vague, but I am working on getting either an etsy shop or a website, once I have everything ready to go, I will post it here.

Thank you for sharing my link and subscribing. I am so grateful for your support!

P.S. If anyone is looking for a financial adviser...Laurie Beltran is amazing! Give her a call at (619) 495-9387.

Hugs,
Marissa

Hello!

When I created this blog in 2014, my goal was to post at least once a month. Back then I was a full-time elementary teacher and a Close to my Heart Consultant. Well, teaching took up most of my time, and with the little time I had left, I created mini-albums, scrapbook layouts and cards for my family. Consequently, I never met my goal.

I am now retired and have time to dedicate time to my paper-crafting passion! I'm really looking forward to posting my creations on this blog. My hope is that one of you will see something you like and it will inspire you to create something of your own, and if not...perhaps you may consider buying handcrafted, and personalized items from me!

This will be my first time selling any of my work. Until now, all of my creations have gone to family members and friends. I've received much feedback and I've been encouraged to sell my work. I hope you find as much pleasure in looking at it, and hopefully buying some of it. Feel free to email me and let me know if there is something specific you are looking for, I may be able to make it for you.
My email is: msclosetcreations@gmail.com

Thank you for visiting my blog. It means a lot that you are taking time to read it. I have decided to leave some of the old posts up as they show some of the cards I've made in the past, but have deleted most of the ones related to Close to my Heart, since I am no longer a consultant. If Close to my Heart is mentioned, please disregard :-)

Again, thank you for being here! I hope you come back again soon. Don't forget to leave a comment so I know you visited!

P.S.
Here are a few of my Valentine's Day cards...maybe you will see something you like ;-)
This tag just needs a beautiful ribbon and your present will be ready!

This shaker card can be for any occasion!
Look for more all-occasion cards in the next few days!

Hugs,
Marissa

I'm back!

Hello Everyone!

It's been almost a year since my last post!  I'm sorry that I've been away so long.  Sometimes life gets in the way.  I really want to get back to posting.  My goal this year is to post at least once a month.  I have been creating some cute cards and home decor items.  Perhaps I will post those.  For now, I just wanted to share the news that I am no longer a close to my heart consultant.  I am sad about it, because I really love their products.  But I don't have the time to hold gatherings and I am not much of a salesperson either...I was only purchasing product for myself.  Well, that got to be a bit pricey!

Since I am no longer an active consultant, I will be able to craft and post using products that I love.    I really love Emma's My Creative Time Dies and Stamps!  I also love Heartfelt Creations products!  Maybe one day I will get to be on a design team!  That is my ultimate goal.  I love crafting!

I hope to gain more readers as well.  It would make me so happy to know that you enjoy reading my blog!  Please let me know by commenting below!

I promise to share a few pictures with you next week!  Until then, happy crafting!

I'm Back!

It's been a while since I've posted...it's been a crazy month!  Lots of graduations in our family and a few health issues for me.  But all is well and I'd really like to share some of the cards I've been making!  Crafting is a de-stresser for me, it's where I can lose myself in my projects and let my creative juices flow!  Scrapbooking will always be my favorite thing to do, but I also enjoy card making and paper crafting gifts for friends.  Below are a few of the cards I've made in the last few weeks...

I hope you enjoyed looking at some of my creations!  I also want to remind you that if you are looking for memory-keeping supplies, you can go to my Close to my Heart website anytime!  You will love the products! Simply go to www.marissac-flores.ctmh.com

Welcome to my Blog!

Hello!  Welcome to my Blog!  I am so excited to be jumping in to the Blogging world!  I LOVE paper crafting!  It all started when I began putting together my first scrapbooks of my favorite Hollywood Stars in High School.  Then, I moved into our family photographs, card making, and mini albums.  Today, I also dabble in Home Decor as well as personalized gifts.  I own four Cricut Machines (yes four!), a Cameo by Silhouette, and many other crafting goodies I will share with you through this blog. I am inspired by many great lady Bloggers whom have given me the courage to take a leap of faith and begin my own blog!

Since I keep most of my crafting supplies in a closet...the name for my blog was easy!  M's Closet Creations will hopefully bring you inspiration and courage to try your own hand at paper crafting!  I look forward to sharing my creations with you!

I am also excited about becoming a Close To My Heart Independent Consultant. This is a new venture for me, but I can't wait to share all of the wonderful news and products this company provides!  I will demonstrate new techniques, as well as keep you updated on all the latest specials!  I've been hooked to their products for a few years now, and decided this was the month to join.  I'd love it if you would go on this adventure with me!  They have an offer that is too good to pass up!  When you join Close to My Heart for $99* starting April 1-30, 2014, you will receive a kit worth $300, and a choice of one of the Close to My Heart Cricut bundles (that's over $400 in value)! I couldn't resist, being that I use my Cricut machines so much!
